UNCENSORED Underground

Join us at the DC Public Library's annual UNCENSORED party at Dupont Underground!

DCPL is celebrating Banned Books Week with a city-wide scavenger hunt from Sept 5-30 with books hidden all over the city on the theme of "Texts Against Tyranny." Throughout the month, you can also join in on the fun at different DC libraries for awesome workshops, book talks, film screenings, art installations and more events, culminating with UNCENSORED Underground, this year's DCPL fundraising party at Dupont Underground. 

The party will feature signature banned books themed cocktails, live music from local bands, and a pop-up market featuring the work of DC makers.

Vision DC Made in DC Marketplace

Find our work on display at Vision DC's Made in DC Marketplace! Vision DC is an Arts and Urban Innovation Summit, on April 24 at the iconic Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater!

VISIONDC is designed to inspire fresh ideas about artspace and community development in Washington. Artists, technological visionaries, cultural partners, business and civic leaders will assemble for a full day of energetic conversation and creativity. The summit will feature: conversations with local and national thought leaders, performances and art installations from over 40 dynamic artists cross-country, and ART TANK, a real-time funding commitment for public art in the city.

National Museum of Women in the Arts Fresh Talk Mini Makers Mart

We'll be popping up at the National Museum for Women in the Arts during their March FRESH TALK event: How can makers change the world?

About the event: Ann Hamilton, an internationally renowned visual artist and self-described maker, joins Emily Pilloton, designer, builder, and educator, to talk about the relevance of hands-on learning and how the experience of making things can inspire the next generation of innovators and creative change makers. Followed by Catalyst, a cocktail hour with a topic and a twist. Exhibition galleries will be open to attendees 5–6:45 p.m. Shop booths featuring local makers before and after the Fresh Talk.

TICKETS: $25 general; $20 members, seniors, and students. Price includes museum admission and Catalyst cocktail hour. Exhibition galleries open to attendees 5–6:45 p.m.

Cocktails and Craft Workshop: Paper Flowers & Omaha Sours

We're teaming up with our friends at Cocktails and Craft for another paper flower workshop! Come hang on Wednesday, March 15 and craft a Spring paper flower wreath or bouquet! 


Let's get into the Spring spirit with flowers! In this workshop you'll learn how to make a bouquet of paper flowers and enjoy an Omaha Sour cocktail. The great thing about paper flowers is that they stay as vibrant and happy as the day you made them, all season long. Never had an Omaha sour? It's a refreshing lemon, bourbon cocktail we're sure will put a spring in your step.

If you're into cocktails, crafting, or just want to get back in touch with your creativity, this workshop is for you!

Workshop fee covers all materials and your first drink.

Join us at the Lab 1270 West Elm Pop-Up the Saturday before Valentine's Day to grab some perfect Mood Lighting. We'll be set up among the work of other DC area makers with West Elm's local program. Around the corner from Union Market, it'll be a perfect Saturday indulging.

We'll have all your favorite candle scents, as well as our beauty line in case for some serious hibernation self care.
