Come join us for our first candle making workshop at Steadfast Supply! In this workshop you will get to make your own two custom-scented all natural soy wax candles with wood wicks and botanicals. Participants will also get to make tea lights and a natural incense bundle. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Artist and chandler Amina Ahmad grew up in the rolling hills and bushy woods of the less glamorous parts of Maryland. After beginning her studies in Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Maryland, she soon discovered the toxic effects that traditionally-made candles have on the environment, home, and ultimately, body.

As a lifelong DIYer, she started making her own non-toxic, eco-friendly soy candles in her college apartment. By using only natural materials, her candle creations would purely and non-toxically illuminate the home, uplift the spirit, and inspire the soul. Amina also co-organizes the Unofficial Hand Lettering Society of Silver Spring, dabbles in creative consulting, and is a yoga teacher.
