Learn how to make your own all natural soy wax candles in this workshop with Handmade Habitat at Shop Made in DC Georgetown!

Founder of Handmade Habitat, Amina Ahmad, will walk you through crafting your own uniquely scented soy wax candles as well as teach you the basics of sustainable candle making.

In this workshop, participants will make two soy wax candles, and a natural incense bundle. All materials and instruction are included. Wear something you don't mind getting a little scented!

Artist Bio: Amina Ahmad is an artist and maker that grew up learning to make everything she could from doll clothes, to furniture, to her own prom dresses. After learning about the toxic effects that everyday products can have on our health, home, and environment while studying Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Maryland, Amina started making her own eco-friendly all natural candles that would purely and non-toxically illuminate her home. Today Handmade Habitat all natural soy wax candles and beauty goods are carried in 50+ stores nation-wide, and still hand poured one by one in a sunny studio in NE Washington, DC.
