Join us for a candle making workshop to celebrate the Earth! Participants will make three custom all natural soy wax candles scented with essential oils. We will provide each participant two 8 oz mason jars to pour candles in, and participants are welcome to bring their own vessel to pour in, or choose from one of our upcycled vessels.
Bring Your Own Vessel: Participants are welcome to bring one clean vessel to use in this workshop that meets the following criteria:
Capacity: Between 4 and 12 fluid oz
Material: Vessel must be made of glass, ceramic, or tin. No plastic or other flammable materials are permitted.
Cleanliness: Vessel must be thoroughly washed and dry before pouring
Stability: Vessel should have a stable base to prevent tipping
No Narrow Necks: Vessel with very narrow openings will make pouring difficult. We recommend using a vessel with a shape that does not vary in diameter.
We recommend: jam jars, ceramic vessels, vintage mugs or glassware, unique mason jars, previously used candle jars
Please get in touch if you have questions about the vessel you would like to bring!
This workshop will be held at Handmade Habitat on the Brookland Arts Walk on Saturday, April 26th from 2-4pm.
