Monday Mantra: Gratitude Always

As Thanksgiving approaches, we all get a little more thankful and a little more grateful for all that we have. It's hard to keep in perspective that we can carry this all year long, not just when a date on the calendar reminds us to (though it's helpful). 

However, this time of year is always a time of reflection for me. In November 2012, I left my day job to embark on this nontraditional path of side gigs, part time jobs, and running my business. In November 2015, I left my part-time job to pursue my business full time. It's been a tough journey filled with small incremental progress, but I am so grateful for this slow meandering road I've stumbled upon. 

All of this is to say that none of this would be possible without your continued support over the years. I am so grateful to have had met awesome people, have customers turned into friends, and grown a business from a corner of a 400 square foot apartment to a room in a two-bedroom apartment, and now to my own studio space in a gorgeous building in Washington, DC. I'm grateful to be surrounded by such a supportive creative business community and women who inspire and motivate me to keep on my path. Here's to even more to be grateful for in the coming year, and to remember to carry that gratitude always.
