New Colors + Mantras
I have been dreaming of some newness for a while. New but back to my roots, or our roots as a company. Did you know that when we first started our business, it was a bag and clothing company? Yes. I would sew fun, colorful bags and clothing, working with everything from vintage fabrics to hand dyed cottons. Lately I’ve had the itch to get back in the dyeing game, but this time only working with natural dyes. And voila, it can work.
This summer we experimented with avocado, turmeric, and indigo dyes. I’m so happy to release our little run of naturally dyed 100% linen eye pillows, and 100% organic cotton scarves.
After some trial and error, we found our way through this, cooking up lots of sneak peeks that you may have seen on our Instagram stories over the past few months. Alas, there was a final project to share! And I hope you guys love them as much as I do!
These scarves are my dream come true. Lightweight, big enough to wrap around your whole torso, and a way to brighten up every outfit. I’ve been wearing an avocado blush pink scarf myself these past few weeks and I have to say, I am fully in love with it. But my friend Marina of Whim and Vigor rocks it best with her blush pink pants. Very limited editions, and available while supplies lasts. Can’t promise that we’ll do these again!
Linen eye pillows have been on our to do list for a while. I don’t know about you, but I love the way linen feels. It's sturdy, soft, a little luxurious, and that’s just what I want resting over my eyes after a long, stressful day. Our new edition of eye pillows includes blush avocado pink, pale turmeric yellow, and deep indigo blue designs. Each pillow is filled with organic flax seed, organic lavender buds, and organic chamomile flowers for a perfect aromatherapy treat. Enjoy these.
Finally, a mantra that we can live by. A favorite of mine, and maybe slightly obvious, but also just what I need when I think I need to do everything at once. Live slow. Enjoy it longer. And bright pink makes life feel even brighter.
Let us know what you think! Should we do more limited runs of wearable scarves? More fun tote bags! Get in touch! We love to hear your thoughts. We make this stuff for you, after all. ;)
