June Candle Club: Get Out There
For being out in the sun, or even long after it sets, our June Candle Club delivery is here to make it even better.
Our new citronella candle and a pair of Keep Shining matches is here this month for perfect summer decking and adventuring, like Rosie (my pup) and I get to do every day.
We do deck-fast, deck break, decky hour as much as we can this time of year and citronella is a lifesaver because even though we live in a concrete jungle, those mosquitos are still somehow relentless and out for blood.
Both of these goodies are in our shop, but join the Candle Club and get a fun delivery next month (and the one after, and the one after, etc) too that you don't even have to think about. We'll do the vibe setting for you. :)
June through the senses. Here's what I'm...
SEEING: Blooming flowers! Last year I planted a few perennials in my first year of deck gardening experiments and I'm so so happy that the blooms are back and better than ever, in the form of lavender and cone flowers. Hopefully also soon- black eyed susans. (Oh, my Maryland roots are showing!)
HEARING: Power tools day and night, sorry to our neighbors! We're high on a house projects kick around here installing a custom built-in bar, improving the kitchen, and installing some bookshelves. It helps to be married to a structural engineer // house projects hero.
SMELLING: Citronella outside and lavender both outside and inside. Rosie and I do a daily lavender rub down with our overgrown plant that survived the winter. It makes us calm and happy. And maybe we're experimenting with some new goods inside to keep scent around all day every day. ;)
TASTING: Perfectly ripe cherries and watermelon. I went two days without fruit and had withdrawal over Memorial Day weekend. We do seem to keep a lot of it around here.
TOUCHING: Skin. I've given up on pants in the house. It's all house dresses and shortie shorts for the rest of the summer. Or has summer not even started yet? Ugh, I'm toast this season lol.
