October through the senses. Here's what I'm...
SEEING: Leaves changing colors on park walks and the short treks between home and the new Baltimore studio which is very close to home. Finding a new rhythm with a stroller and backpack and loving it.
HEARING: Baby bird has learned to wail and whine one month in! But also I am finally listening to Season 1 of Serial now that it's relevant again (I'm always fashionably late) and having lots of feelings RE Baltimore / how scary existing as a woman is / horrible perceptions of Muslims and immigrant communities and just WOAH. A little too spooky and scary.
SMELLING: Cinnamon Spice, a new scent for this fall and holiday seasons that I'm very excited about. I consider it a fresh take on the classic scented pinecones that haunt every grocery store this time of year and such a good companion for fall days filled with hot apple cider donuts and pumpkin spice lattes.
TASTING: Apples. Crisp and juicy. I've been trying to encourage my husband to bake us an apple pie but no luck so far. But we're enjoying lots of apple turnovers, sliced apple snacks, and apples in my oatmeal every morning.
TOUCHING: Lots and lots of blankets. Fuzzy and warm and hand crocheted that were gifted for baby but keep all of us, especially our pup, warm and cozy during candlelit evenings.
