a big update from our little studio
Hello hons from Baltimore, MD!
This note brings you some big news from our little studio.
Our big news is that we are in the process of moving our production and shipping operations to a much larger space in Baltimore, Maryland!
Don't worry- our DC studio will remain as a store where you can still shop on Saturdays, pick up orders, and bring back your empty jars for recycling credits and ceramics to be refilled. But now you'll also be able to do most of the same in Baltimore!
We are making this shift for a few reasons.
We are totally out of space in our DC studio. We've been standing in a sea of wax and boxes for years now and it's time to spread out and increase our capacity.
I live in Baltimore now, and need a shorter commute. Finding a space five minutes from my front door means I get to work more efficiently than ever before and hopefully will mean that we can bring more things to life that have sat on the backburner for a while.
I'm pregnant! Having a workspace that can also fit a pack 'n play is now a top priority for life. I'll be so excited to introduce you to our new little studio assistant. She is due to arrive in early September!
I am so excited about this new chapter in life and thank you all for your patience as we make the transition. Orders might take a little longer over the next few weeks, and our DC shop will be taking a summer break in August as we move production, finish some major home renovations, and enjoy some nesting time.

What to expect while we’re expecting:
Orders may take a little longer to fill as we are shifting inventory from DC to Baltimore and setting up the new studio
No DC pick up while our studio is closed. We will resume online order pick-up in DC once our studio reopens.
At some point all order fulfillment will stop when we head to the hospital. We will send an email out when that happens. Until then, all orders are being filled as quickly as we can! After baby comes, we will take some time at home to enjoy and adjust. I hope to be back in the studio shipping orders within 2 weeks of delivery and back to our usual-ish schedule by October.

As a part of this big shift, we are also looking to build our team of Saturday shopkeepers for our DC studio!
You don't have to be available every Saturday, just a minimum of two Saturdays per month.
